A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you are running some business, for example. Since you may start receiving junk emails, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be surprisingly easy if you have a web hosting service with our company. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared web hosting account. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have created shown alphabetically and on the right side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you whether a particular mailbox receives all the email messages pertaining to a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature at any time. In case there is active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to turn off the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will let you know if you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a certain domain or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or change anything automatically or without your consent.
